SIMOS: The Lot Of Hand Creams

    Posted by Tine | July 21, 2009

Note: The AliceWonders.com bag giveaway closes by the end of the day, so if you haven’t participated in it yet, you’ve got 12 more hours to go!

I don’t know what it is with me and hand creams. They seem to attract me so easily. I mean, I’ve only got two hands but tubes and tubes of creams which I’ll never be able to finish (simply because I know I’ll keep buying more). As I was wiping down the dresser, and doing a bit of spring-cleaning, I came across these hand creams (most of them unused). Seriously, it’s telling me to stop buying any more.

    20090720 SIMOS Hand Creams 1

Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm Tube – some restaurants in Melbourne stock this, together with its handwash, in their restrooms. I tried this out at one, and absolutely love it. This has a permanent spot on my nightstand.
Yuva Intensive Hand and Nail Cream – a free gift from a facial I had at Pure Indulgence.
L’occitane Cherry Blossom Petal-soft Hand Cream
    Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream

    20090720 SIMOS Hand Creams 2

Crabtree & Evelyn’s Hand Therapy in Lavendar (x2), Rosewater, La Source and Gardeners. The small tubes were gifts. I really like the Gardeners Hand Therapy; it’s even great on cracked heels.

    20090720 SIMOS Hand Creams 3

Burt’s Bees Hand Creme in Beeswax and Banana
L’occitane hand creams in Shea and Cherry Blossom

Are you a hand cream junkie too? What’s your favourite?

That’s a lot of hand creams! I can understand the addiction. Albeit mine’s with gel eyeliners :D I ought to use more hand cream (Dr recommends) but I don’t. should make it a habit. *sighs*

I tend to “forget” to use handcreams. I like the C&E Gardener’s Hand Therapy too. I think I’d use hand creams more if I can find a good unfragranced one :) btw that’s a LOT of creams

Hehehe, I love hand creams too. I have a Lime & Eucalyptus one from Crabtree & Evelyn Distillations, as well as the Hand Therapy in Summer Hill. From L’Occitane I have small tubes of both the Cherry Blossom hand lotion (x2) and the Verbena, and I have a set of three balms from the Etsy seller littleflowers. I also have under my bedside table, one set of C&E 60 seconds mini hand therapy set as well as 4 full tubes of the Hand Therapy in La Source, Gardener’s and Summer Hill (these make my favorite presents to supervisors so I stock up whenever they’re on sale for $7) and a big tube of L’Occitane’s Cherry Blossom petal soft hand cream.

I am the laziest when it comes to hand creams! So i never finish any of those that I have :( lucky you, I always ended up washing my hands just minutes after I applied hand cream :(

I have lots of hand cream too but not as much as you have ;) C&E, L’oocitane, Boots No 7, etc….and like you, I can’t seem to stop getting more. But lately, I managed to make myself use up some of my hand creams and bath/body products before opening new ones from my stash. So no buying anything new for now.

And wow! Some restaurants actually have Aesop hand cream in their restrooms. I think in KL, it would have been long gone. ;)

You must try Jurlique hand creams, they smell great and are really moisturising.

I used to be a handcream junkie but I stopped buying hand creams for quite a long time already. Now only use the Lavera one when I’m out and when I’m at home, it’s the steam cream. Not sure if the addiction will come back anytime soon…

Wow, that’s a lot of hand creams! I wash my hands like 30 times a day so a hand cream is a must for me or my skin would get very dry and chapped. I don’t have a fave hand cream though, I like to try always new stuff.

Yes, I am a handcream junkie! Though I don’t have as many as you do. My current fave is Gold Bond Ultimate Healing. :)

I’m not as junkie as you. LOL. I like L’Occitane and C&E. Jurlique’s rose hand cream isn’t bad either.

Though they smell nice, I find Burt’s Bees ones aggravated the excema on my fingers.

My all time favourite is GROWN, it’s THE hand cream that I would buy over and over again!

Can’t live without handcream! L’Occitane’s Shea Butter is my all time favourite. I also like Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream for cold and dry winter days.
