Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Mini Tote

Geekchic, Paris B and I are terrible for each other. It’s true. Three bag lovers should never be allowed together (albeit via the powers of the Internet), spurring each other on to buy yet another bag. Tee hee hee

Last week, Shopbop.com had a two-day 15% discount off any item in store. I’ve been eying a particular Rebecca Minkoff bag for ages, and with the strengthening AUD and the discount, there’s no better time to finally get that bag. After the discount and factoring in the exchange rate, it’s equivalent to a full-priced Oroton, but with a designer tag on it. I’m more than happy to get it as Rebecca Minkoff isn’t available in Australia. Shipping was also free for any order above US$100, which made me even happier.

This is awfully similar to the Morning After Mini Paris bought. In fact, I reckon it’s the same one, but in a different colour. Unfortunately, she was charged with taxes when it was delivered as it was declared as a leather bag. I factored that into my purchase, but was very glad to find out that I didn’t have to pay any taxes on the bag. Shopbop had cleverly declared the bag as “Women Apparel for Personal Use“. Phew.

The delivery of this item was incredibly swift. I ordered the bag last Thursday afternoon, and received it today. I would have gotten it yesterday if not for my request for address change to UPS. Plus, the real-time tracking on their website made it a whole lot more fun to anticipate its arrival.

I love the gold hardware on the pebbled leather. Made the bag quite heavy on its on too.

My favourite part of the bag? I absolutely ADORE the damask print. It goes so well with the lovely black leather. And the blue zipper makes an interesting combination to the bag.

I can’t wait to condition the bag and bring it out for a spin. I love the smell of the leather so much, I can’t stop sniffing it. Crazy much?
