Lucas’ Papaw Ointment Is Fantastic for Broken Skin

I know I have been banging on about how great the Lucas’ Papaw ointment is for the lips, because that was what I have been using them for for months before. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I realise that the ointment is absolutely brilliant for extremely dry, chafed and broken skin.

Lucas Papaw Ointment

You see, whenever I’m stressed out about something, I subconsciously pick at the skin around my thumbs. According to my hubs, it’s apparently a way of my physical coping with the stress. Our move certainly was stressful all right, and a couple of weeks after the move, I was still picking at the skin around my thumbnails. It had gotten so bad that they bled, dried up, and bled some more. My thumbs were a complete mess. No amount of handcream could salvage my poor skin.

One night, as I was about to apply the papaw ointment on my lips, I decided to try them on my thumbs as well. Couldn’t hurt, right? Well, it couldn’t hurt as much as it was already hurting anyway. So I gently rubbed the ointment on the very dry and broken skin. Sure it was greasy, but I slept it off.

Thumb with Broken Skin
That’s actually 90% healed skin. Imagine what it was like before. UGH.

The next morning, the skin was 90% healed. I kid you not. The dried out icky bits of skin smoothed out, and the chafed skin does not hurt a single bit. It’s a miracle!

*HALLELUJAH!*

I’ve been recommending this baby to my friends with regards to dry lips, but man! It’s fantastic on broken and very dry skin as well. I absolutely love, love, LOVE this ointment to bits.

You can get PawPaw at Watsons, NTUC Finest, but it’s not Lucas brand.

I saw this in Caring pharmacy recently but didn’t get it! I’m running back tomorrow to get it though – I have broken skin from eczema wounds that are not healing at all… think this will do the trick?

absolutely HOARDING the tube you gave me girl – it’s absolutely awesome for dry patches of skin (and doesn’t taste half bad on the lips either!) 😀

it fixes dry lips?! awesome! I’m using a sample size gotten from my antenatal class as it’s very good on blistered/cracked/bleeding nipples from breastfeeding. another wonderful point on PawPaw is that it’s safe for baby’s ingestion and it smells tasty too! i’m so getting a full size soon
