I’m pretty dull when it comes to lip colour. Never one to sport bright colours, whether it’s red, mauve, orange, etc; I only wear “safe” colours that do not scream LOOK AT ME.
Before our usual drinks yesterday, LeGeeque told me to wear a red lippie as she would be wearing one too. Given that I had none, she was the only one rocking bright lips during our drinks. She looked good whereas I looked, well, boring. The next day, while I was perusing the aisles of Priceline, I stumbled upon Revlon, which was having a 30% discount on selected items. I figured what the hell, it was high time I tried out something dangerous 😉

Yowza. It’s red all right. This is the only lipstick I’ve ever had trouble removing by just wiping my lips with a tissue. The pigment is that strong. Texture-wise, lovely. None of that awfully dry formula. I wouldn’t say it’s creamy, but smooth enough to put on.
LeGeeque was right. You don’t need much makeup on to dress up any outfit. Just some blush and bright lips, and it completely vamped my plain white tee.
Thus the tale of my popping my bright lips cherry 😉

red really brightens your face, but I think you should apply more of the lipstick on your lip as it looks kind of odd as there is quite a gap of your ‘naked’ lip showing when you smile.

You chose a beautiful red and you look amazing in red lipstick! With red lipstick I sometimes get that dreaded line too so what I do is apply the lipstick on my lips but make sure I “colour” in a part of the inner part of the lips that shows too, so its not too obvious. When taking pics, a good way is to smile with the mouth closed. That takes care of everything! 😀

After the post-Christmas meet with the girls, I felt inclined to give red a shot too, so I picked up another Revlon red. What a coincidence eh? Since I’ve also always been more into nudes and natural shades. Hehehe..

Paris B: See, the problem is, I cannot “colour” in the inner part of the lips, because that’s my gums! Asked LeGeeque about this, she said can’t be helped since it’s an anatomical thing. Just have to smile with my mouth closed, I guess, although I absolutely detest smiling without teeth 😛
