Prevent The Stinkies with Dove’s Roll-on Antiperspirant Deodorant (Plus A Giveaway!)

I can’t really remember when it was that I started using anti-perspirant deodorants. My mum, bless her, is against using anti-perspirants. She thinks that it’s bad for the skin, that it could cause cancer or something. Mum, I love you, but you don’t stink, you never have, and you probably never will. Me, I ain’t so lucky.

I’m quite a lazy bugger now obviously, but little do you know, I was quite an athlete back in the day. I wasn’t that good to represent my school, but I used to run a lot, especially 100m sprints. I’d practise after school for hours and I would come home smelling like something died in my school shirt.

To counter that problem, I bought my very first roll-on anti-perspirant. It was a Lady Speedstick, and I had to hide it from mum lest she starts giving me that lecture about cancer. Again. Fast forward 15 years. I’m still using deodorants, much to mum’s chagrin. Roll-ons, sprays, you name it.

A few months ago I started using Dove’s Roll-On antipersipirant deodorants, which were kindly sent to me for trial. I’ve used their sprays for years, but not the roll-ons.

Dove's Roll-on Antiperspirant Deodorant

Here we have the Original, Go Fresh Nectarine & White Ginger Scent and Go Fresh Cucumber & Green Tea Scent. I’ve used all three sprays for a long time now, and the roll-ons smell and work just as well. My favourite is the Cucumber & Green Tea. It freshens my pits good 😛

What I like about them is that they last for many hours. I could be out all day and would still come home without that strong scent of body odour. They do not leave any white marks on my skin or clothes. The rolling ball goes on very cool on the skin, which is great for waking me up in the mornings. What I’m not really keen on is that it takes a while to dry, compared to the deodorant sprays. Everytime I use this, I have to do the chicken dance just to speed up the drying process on the underarms. Tim finds it very amusing. Men!

Other than that, a cheapie like this that does not dry out the pits? A definite must-have in your bathroom.

Dove Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorants retail at AU$3.69 for 50ml and is available at leading supermarkets and drugstores nationwide.

I’ve always used the sprays but maybe it’s time I should go back & try a roll on…. Geez it’s been years since I used a roll on… Think the last one was a mum one… The pink one. Thought I was so grown up using it!

I’m sorry but I can’t stand these. I’ve bought two and they both leaked horribly and had to be tossed away. Dove needs to rethink its packaging!
