Aldi Steps It Up With Lacura Beauty’s Mosaic Blush in Pink

Ever since Aldi came up with that pretty Minerals Blush I raved about, I’ve been keeping a close eye on anything new that comes up in their makeup range, especially the blushes. You know how I love my blushes. 😉

A couple of weeks ago during a grocery run to Aldi, I stumbled upon another blush. This time, it’s pressed powder and one look at the blush meant an immediate addition to the shopping basket.

Seriously, how pretty is the design? 🙂

Lacura Beauty Mosaic Blush in Pink Ingredients

For the low price, the blush is very pigmented. A light hand is needed for a quick pop of colour on the cheeks.

I swatched the individual shades for you to see what the colours are but really, you’re meant to swirl the brush on all of them, tap to remove the access powder and then apply on the apples of your cheeks for a lovely flush of pink.

The powder is not hard and gritty (something I normally expect out of cheap cosmetics). In fact, it’s smooth and applies very well on the skin.

This has been my go-to blush ever since I bought it. I haven’t even touched the ones I bought in Japan yet! 😛

Lacura Beauty Mosaic Blush retails at $5.99 (in Pink and Coral) and is available at selected Aldi supermarkets nationwide.

I’m not sure about the lippies, they don’t look that good. The blushes, on the other hand, are ace. Let me know if you want me to pick this up for you 🙂

Hee hee, I didn’t step into Aldi for the first 2 years I was in Australia. Then I heard how cheap groceries are from my husband’s cousin and we did a trial run. Hot damn (our bills are now about 30-40% less). Now we do most of our grocery runs there with only random walk-ins to Coles or Woolies for snacks 😛

30-40%?! Darn, I’ve been missing out big time!

My jaw dropped when I saw how much I had to pay. A basketful of groceries would easily cost me $50 to $60 in Coles or Woolies. Similar items at Aldi? $30. No kidding. Not everything’s good though. The veggies can be a little stale if you go in the evening. Other than that, staples, detergent, etc … buy Aldi.

Geez, Aldi should pay me to be an ambassador, man 😛

Wah seh…that’s CHEAP! And it does look good – on you and the packaging. Something my spending ban I think can take! 😉 (spending ban my arse huh?)

Hahahahah I haven’t heard “WAH SEH” in a long time!

Aww thanks. Nice, right? Two loaves of bread (if you don’t buy the cheapies) or two cups of non-city coffee. Not too bad, right? 😉 *nudge nudge*

That is really beautiful Tine, I’ve had it in the back of my mind since you first mentioned it and now that I know it is good quality, I think I’m going to grab it. I’m almost finished with my NYX shade which is similar, so this is a great replacement for that!

I do think the quality’s good, Emma. Surprisingly good. As I was researching for reviews on this one, I stumbled upon a review of another blush of theirs, and that wasn’t good. I haven’t tried that one out yet of course but I don’t think I will. Not keen on their lippies, don’t know why. This one looked way too good to miss and I’m glad I bought it because 1) it’s cheap and 2) it goes on very nicely on the cheeks. Score! 🙂

this is a very pretty blush! plus, i love the design! 🙂 btw, lovin your necklace! 🙂

Aww thanks Issa! It’s actually quite heavy even though the beads are plastic 😛

After reading this, I had to visit my local Aldi and pick one up – they only had the Pink and I’d have liked to see the Coral to compare colours, but anyway, picked up a Pink – I’m sure my 16 year old daughter will love it as part of her Christmas surprise pack.

Also found a Lacura French Manicure Set at $7.99, which I think she’ll have a lot of fun with!

Thanks for keeping us informed on beauty products in all price ranges!

Ooh I saw the French Manicure set at Aldi. Do let me know how your daughter likes it. I might pick one up for myself too.

Hopefully she likes the mosaic blush. It’s a beautiful one 🙂
