Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Natural Beauty: So Good, I Want More!

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Natural Beauty

Okay, I know. The Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes have been talked to death. They’ve been raved to the ends of the earth. They’ve been around for years! The sad thing is, for the blush lover that I am, I only finally tried these end of last year. Seriously, it’s like I’ve been living under a rock! Or like one blogger whom shall remain nameless (you know who you are!), I live in the land of far, far away. Hmph. 😛

I finally purchased one of the blushes in a blog sale last year and just a couple of weeks later, I received another one as a gift from a dear friend. I had no access to them for so long and in just a month, I got my hands on two. The universe was working its weird way here, folks.

Anyway, the one I was gifted was Natural Beauty and that’s the one I wanted to show you today. Again, you’ve probably seen reviews of this ages ago but to me, it’s just too beautiful to miss.

It’s one heck of a matte bright Barbie pink and I love it. It looks amazing on the skin, is crazy pigmented (you have to be light-handed with your brush on this one lest you get too much product at just one swipe) and lasts on the skin for hours. I’ve had this on on very hot days and this doesn’t budge.

It’s such a beautiful blush and I finally understand why so many people love it. It’s also bloody tempting to collect the entire range of the Amazonian Clay blushes. I’m currently lusting after the Off The Cuff quint palette that Kerri blogged about. I don’t know whether to be glad or sad that Tarte isn’t available in Australia. On one hand, it’s annoying that I’m only trying these blushes now but on the other hand, I sure saved a lot of money. What’s that now? It’s tough being a beauty blogger? I KNOW! 😛

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blushes retail at US$26.00 each and is available at Sephora.

What I like about it: Looks gorgeous on the skin, non-chalky matte texture, fantastic staying power.

What I do not like about it: Tarte is not sold in Australia. #$%&*^#@!! (update: According to the Tarte website, there’s a salon at Woollahra called The Blonde Room that stocks Tarte. If you’re based there, GO!)

Have you tried any of the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes? Tell me I’m not the only one who’s just trying it out now? Which one’s your favourite?

Thanks for the mention Tine!! It’s such a shame that Tarte blushes are not easily accessible in Aust, I could do with a few more haha!

My pleasure, Kerri! I know right? Why can’t they bring Tarte over? There are so much stuff I want to try!

What a beautiful blush, Tine! I love the embossing, the compact and the shade too. It doesn’t look too bright either on your skin or on the swatch. You must have used a light hand. It is such a shame Tarte isn’t available in Australia 🙁 I think I saw a special edition Tarte box in Ulta’s most recent catalogue that had a mini-version of that blush plus two other products. If I wasn’t drowning in blushes, I would pick this one up. At any rate, I will swatch it next trip to Ulta!

Stinks that we don’t have Tarte here. We get Smashbox, Too Faced, Bare Minerals, even that Kardashian beauty thing which I won’t go into detail about…where’s Tarte? Grr!

You look really pretty in these pix here. That blush is phenomenal! Def one of my fave brands for blush. Up there with NARS.

Thankies! Can’t believe I’m only trying it now. 😛

This looks soooooooooooo pretty on you! I really love Tarte blushers. They are pigmented and long-wearing. Well at least Sephora now ships to Australia so you don’t have to miss out as much 🙂

Stupid Sephora decided not to ship to Australia directly. It was a mistake on their part. I have so much @^@$#%^$#@ for them right now.

Ooh, I work near Woollahra, I might have to pay them a visit soon! I have these Tarte blushes on my ever-growing list of things to ask my friend to bring back from America with her when she comes back to Australia in a few months 😉

I Googled the website to that store at Woollahra; they DO stock Tarte! Yeah, get them from the US ‘cos who knows how much they’ll be sold in Australia :-/

That blush looks gorgeous! A friend from the US sent me a few of these blushes and I fell in love. They have great colour payoff, blend easily and last long. Unfortunately, they’re not available here either, although my wallet is happy about that. I’d probably be tempted to collect them all otherwise!

Now I know why people collect them all! 😛

I have the exact same blush and I love it 🙂 I can understand the reason it is called Natural Beauty because it gives such a natural flush to my cheeks. Really tempted to get Blissful or Tipsy but the price of RM120 really puts me off. I got mine during the Sephora sales last year for 20% discount so it was a good deal.

    1. Tine

Yeah looking at it in RM … damn, it’s expensive. If I were in Malaysia, I wouldn’t pay over RM100 for each one, to be honest. That’s like me paying $100 (let’s think dollar to dollar here, y’know, earning power vs spending power etc etc) for that and there’s no way I’d do that. I don’t know, is it just me who thinks that way?

http://www.myqty.com is an Australian online store that sell Tarte blushes (and some of their other products too) for $34.95

      Thanks for the recommendation!
