Bare Minerals Ready Blush in The Natural High: Quite The Dupe To That Famous Blush We Know

Bare Minerals Ready Blush in The Natural High

Can I still call myself a beauty blogger if I tell you that this blush would be the very first Bare Minerals product I’ve ever used? I know! Where have I been? 😛

When I jumped on the mineral makeup bandwagon many years ago, I found cheaper alternatives to Bare Minerals so there was no need for me to even try anything from the brand.

Bare Minerals Ready Blush in The Natural High

The funny thing is, for the longest time, I thought Bare Minerals only sold mineral foundation. I didn’t know they also have a wide range of makeup and I certainly didn’t know they had blushes as well.

Hello, I’m Tine and I just came out from living under a rock.

Bare Minerals Ready Blush in The Natural High Ingredients

I recently had the opportunity to try out one of the Ready Blushes and it’s the one in The Natural High.

The Natural High is a peachy-pink blush with a hint of gold shimmer. It reminds me a lot of NARS’ Orgasm but not as pigmented and with less orange tones. The powder is sheer yet buildable, soft to the touch, not chalky and easy to wear. It’s beautiful on the skin and wears for about 6 hours before it starts to fade.

Temptalia gave this blush a rating of A+ and I agree with her, it’s a lovely blush. If you’re in the market for a peachy-pink blush, I highly recommend this one.

Whaddyaknow, popping my Bare Minerals cherry and it’s not even with their famous mineral foundation. Tsk tsk. 😛

Bare Minerals Ready Blush in The Natural High retails at AU$29.95 and is available at Kit Cosmetics and Mecca Cosmetica.

What I like about it: Beautiful shade, buttery to the touch, not chalky

What I do not like about it: Nothing. Oooh big claim!

Have you tried any of the Ready Blushes by Bare Minerals? What’s your favourite product from the brand?

I’ve only got 1 bare minerals item, their Ready 4.0 eyeshadow quad in The Happy Place.
Peachy rose shimmer, purple and taupe. Its lovely, you should check it out! 🙂

Thanks for the recommendation Dawn. I’ll be sure to check it out! 🙂

Truth be told you look gorgeous in the picture but I can’t notice the blush, when I see Bare Minerals display I only take care of their base products but I’ve never been interested in other products even tough my BFF has one of their loose blushes and it’s really pretty.

Gah I know! I applied a whole lot more than I usually would just for the camera but for some reason, it’s not showing in the photo. Sigh. Still, this is a pretty blush so if you have the chance, go check it out.

I definitely feel like Bare Minerals is one of those forgotten brands that you kinda walk past in stores! Loving the colour and its fair affordable as well particularly for us!

Yeah that’s what I thought too. It’s actually not that expensive. Not too far from our version of drugstore makeup. 😛

Hey don’t beat yourself up over it. I don’t own a single item from Bare Minerals haha! I’ve been meaning to try the eyeshadows which get a lot of raves too but was a little put off by the thought of mineral makeup since I’m not much of a fan. That said I’ll take a second look at their blushes next time, since we now have it at Sephora 😀

Hahaha yay! Okay now I feel better. 😛 I haven’t used mineral makeup in years! Remember those Everyday Mineral days? I had to chuck quite a lot of my old stash when I was last back in Penang. Man those were old! Having said that, I’m very interested in trying out that full coverage Tarte mineral foundation that a lot of people rave about. Ahh one day …

This is just my kind of shade. Must check it out next time I’m at Sephora.

Hehe have fun! Hopefully you’ll like it too. 🙂

I love that shade! I have a BM loose pigment blush that I don’t wear that much because it’s too dark. This looks much more like me, and I love the fact that it’s pressed rather than messy powder 🙂

Haha yeah I can’t deal with loose pigments, too messy! I like mine pressed and polished, thankyouverymuch! 😛

I have always so loved the idea of BM, and tried and tried with their foundations, but just can’t get them to work for me (having difficult skin to say the least though, its not their fault I think).

I do have my HG eyeshadow from them that they very meanly stopped making (and I am so near the end of my last pot! SOB!) – I can’t find a dupe for it despite looking for the last few years so I am very sad about that.

My latest find though is one of their mascaras – when they first did mascara it wasn’t that great, but the latest I got in a Mecca beauty loop box, and is SO fab – the Lash Domination one (in the silver tube) – it actually takes over from my HG normal mascara for nights out that’s how good it is (which is a big thing, my HG mascara has been such for the last 6 or 7 years at least that’s how much I love it 🙂 ).

You do look lovely in the that photo btw – so pretty! 😀

Aww thanks! Speaking of the Beauty Loop Box, I didn’t even know one existed until I went to Mecca last week and the saleslady nonchalantly asked me “oh by the way, do you know you have a Beauty Loop Box waiting for you?” I was like, “beauty loop what?” I got the one with the NARS eyeliner, a couple of Kate Somerville sachets and a deluxe sample of the Mecca’s sunscreen. That was a pretty good deal! Too bad I didn’t I could actually get one. Apparently they send you an email about it? Didn’t get any. Oh well, onto the next one! (which also means one has to spend more. Yikes!)

That looks lovely!!! perfect daily shade. i love their mineral foundation and veil, fantastic for dry skin. i have swatched their eyeshadows answer they are ‘oh so creamy’

    1. Tine

I’ve heard a great deal of their mineral veil. I have a tiny sample of it somewhere but haven’t tried it out yet. Have to dig it out now, shucks where did I put it??
